The Tourism courses give you the skills and knowledge you need to get a job in the industry, quickly. You might like to start in a travel agency or perhaps in event management, resorts, ticketing, tour operations, airlines, major attractions or cruise liners.
You will be assessed continuously throughout the year. Your assignments are marked in the following way:
- Competent - high distinction
- Competent - credit distinction
- Competent
- Not yet competent
Your transcript will have these classifications which is different from a lot of other VET providers who just use the Competent or Not Yet Competent classifications. This grading system is more appealing to employers and universities as they know how well you did, not just that you have the qualification.
If you are looking to continue your studies further, this course can lead to a Bachelor of Tourism Management or Bachelor of Commerce degree.
