Travel & Tourism gives you the skills and knowledge to be able to manage, promote, organise, arrange and coordinate personal and commercial travel, financial and strategic tourism management, national and international travel products and destinations and legal and logistical operations. This course includes full content from the Certificate III in Tourism and the Diploma of Tourism. Your subjects will include the following:

There are 67 competencies in total for the Diploma of Tourism. You will be assessed continuously throughout the year. Your assignments are marked in the following way: 

  • Competent - high distinction
  • Competent - credit distinction
  • Competent 
  • Not yet competent

Your transcript will have these classifications which is different from a lot of other VET providers who just use the Competent or Not Yet Competent classifications. This grading system is more appealing to employers and universities as they know how well you did, not just that you have the qualification.

If you are looking to continue your studies further, this course can lead to a Bachelor of Management or Bachelor of Commerce degree. You will gain 24 credit points towards a 72 point degree which is the equivalent to 1 year. We have articulation agreements in place with universities across Australia including the University of Canberra.
